Sheshak Yimchunger wins Kiphire District Logo Design Competition

Sheshak Yimchunger has been declared as the winner of Kiphire District Logo Design Competition. This was announced by Kiphire District administration through a notification.

A notice issued by Deputy Commissioner Kiphire and Chairman Selection Committee, Temsuwati Longkumer stated that as a part of ensuring cultural appropriateness and representation, the shortlisted finalist designs were also forwarded to the respective Tribal Hohos for their views and verification regarding the cultural symbols and motifs used. Their feedback was duly taken into account, the Deputy Commissioner stated.

The winners logo design, embodies a culmination of cultural symbolism and natural beauty, represents Kiphire District as the “Land of Minerals”.

His logo features an encircling green band, signifying the district’s rich forest cover and unity among its people.

Hornbill feathers represent pride, strength, and harmony, while the district map showcases indigenous shawls of the four major tribes.

Mount Saramati, the highest peak in Nagaland, symbolizes endurance and pride. The design also highlights the district’s biodiversity, with Hoolock Gibbons and hydroelectric transmission lines representing power generation and conservation efforts.  The dual blue lines depict the serene rivers flowing through the district.

Sheshak Yimchunger would be felicitated for his creative contribution to the district’s identity, the date would be informed by the district administration office.
