In this regard, the Eastern Nagaland Public Emergency Control Room Tuensang HQ said, “all business establishments, vehicular and public movements including educational institutions within Tuensang town will remain totally shut down.”

Further, the Control Room has informed all delegates to come in private vehicles and without personal bodyguards due to the enforcement of the ‘Public Emergency’ that prohibits government vehicles from plying the roads in the region.
Mention may be made that the twenty Legislators and the MP are camping at New Delhi awaiting an appointment with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the officials of Ministry of Home Affairs to discuss the issue relating to Frontier Nagaland Territory (FNT).
The Eastern Nagaland Legislators Union (ENLU) has reportedly appealed ENPO to further postpone the Joint Coordination Meeting but the apex Organization is said to have turned down the request. The meeting was previously scheduled to be conducted on 15th March 2024 but was deferred due to the Legislators travel to the Capital.
ENPO is resolute not to participate in the Lok Sabha elections to be held on 19th April 2024.
