Chief Minister, Sikkim, Prem Singh Tamang-Golay flagged off the Sikkim State Delegation to represent the State at the 25th Hornbill Festival at Kohima, Nagaland. The 150-member delegation was flagged off from Ridge Park, Gangtok on 29th November 2024.
In a post on X platform, the Chief Minister expressed that it is a “blissful moment” for Sikkim to be Partner State of the Hornbill Festival 2024 which is scheduled to take place from 1st December to 10th December 2024. “This collaboration symbolizes our shared cultural heritage and emphasizes the spirit of unity among our states,” he stated.
The contingent from Sikkim includes HGs, bikers, car rally, media personnel, officials from Tourism, Culture and Commerce & Industries departments including the participants from various social organizations.
“May the Hornbill Festival be a resounding success and foster greater cultural exchange and unity,” Golay added.
