Kohima police has informed the public that on November 23, the skeletal remains of an unidentified person were recovered in a jungle at ‘P’ Khel area near the Medical College, under the jurisdiction of North Police Station, Kohima.

The deceased is estimated to have stood at approx. 5.5 to 5.6 feet.

Police said all requisite legal formalities have been observed, and the remains are presently held at the North Police Station morgue pending identification.

Police has requested the public, particularly individuals with missing relatives or friends, to assist in this matter. Any person possessing relevant information has been urged to contact the Officer-in-Charge of North Police Station at 7005986018.
