A Skill Development program on paper gift bag making was organized by the District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) with the District Administration under the aegis of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) on Saturday at DHEW Tuensang.

The Department shared the main objective of the training program is to acquire practical skills in paper bag making as they will have more opportunity to express their creativity and design skills by learning the techniques involved in designing of cutting and folding paper to create functional usage.

The training also aims to raise awareness on environmental issues and the importance of reducing plastic waste, through paper bag making and being able to understand the benefits of using biodegradable and recyclable material.

In the training altogether more than ten females participated in the training.
