Kohima: Students briefed on how they can avail educational loans to fund their studies

Ruokuolhoulie Dzüvichü, Branch Manager, Nagaland Rural Bank, Kohima Village said today that small savings during school days can go a long way in funding a students’ studies.

The Branch Manager was speaking at a programme on Financial and Digital Literacy held at the Night School, P. Khel, Kohima Village. Dzüvichü also encouraged the students by saying that even a saving as less as ₹100 a month can go a long way to fund their studies or to start a business in the future. He also briefed the students on how they can avail educational loans to fund their studies instead of being dependent on their parents.

Dzüvichü highlighted that the avenue for employment in the banking sector is huge with the existence of many government and private banks and encouraged the students to give a thought in taking banking as a career.

During the interaction, students were also briefed on the various kinds of accounts in the bank, the advantages of having a banking account and the various kinds of funds that are disbursed through the banks.

The programme was initiated as part of the Nagaland Rural Bank’s community outreach programme and also the Night School’s continued efforts to expand the students’ horizon and basic life knowledge.
