Bendang Imsong, a social activist from Mokokchung, has appealed for the intervention of Nagaland Chief Minister into the matter of non-issuance of Personal Information Management System (PIMS) Codes to the teachers who were recruited to the Department of School Education in 2023 through NSSB.

According to Imsong, due to the absence of PIMS codes, the new recruits are “unable to receive their rightful salaries” which has “resulted in significant financial hardships”. Further, the non-issuance of PIMS codes by the authority concerned have led to administrative hurdles and confusion regarding their employment status, hindering their ability to access various benefits and services provided by the Government, he highlighted.

Imsong therefore requested the CM’s immediate intervention to expedite the process of generating PIMS codes for these newly recruited teachers.
