Free Coaching Classes at Longleng

Longleng Superintendent Dr Pritpal Kaur Batra, IPS, under whose leadership the Noklak Police recently got awarded the prestigious SKOCH Award has now shifted her focus to the people in her present post. In Longleng, she has opened a coaching centre for competitive exam aspirants and like the previous coaching classes she taught, its all free.

The SP says that the reason she opened the centre is because other coaching centres are too far away and too expensive. There are many students who want to study but cannot afford, she says, adding that everybody deserves a chance.

Earlier this year on 25 March, Dr Pritpal encouraged the youths attending a career guidance program in Longleng saying that she was confident one of them sitting as aspirants will stand up as DC, EAC, SP, etc one day. She also told them that day that being poor should not be an excuse and that everything is possible if one has strong will power and determination to work hard.

She understands the region and the difficulties faced by its people all too well.

In Longleng, Dr Pritpal is partnered by two government officers who also teach and share the costs. Together with the SP, Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC) Longleng, Dr Samuel Akho Konyak P, NCS and C. Lenke Phom, ARO, take the classes before office.
