A special Mokokchung DPDB meeting was held on 3rd August 2022. The meeting was held in the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall Mokokchung under the chairmanship of Imkong L Imchen, MLA & Chairman of DPDB Mokokchung. The meeting was attended by Speaker NLA, Shariangin Longkumer, Ministers, Tongpang Ozukum and Metsubo.

The meeting deliberated on the following agendas:

1. Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK) scheme. On the Annual plan 2022 to 2023 and the five-year prospective plan, the house decided to write to the concerned Ministry and submit the project as per the project guidelines for the whole district before the deadline i.e., 6th Aug 2022. This will also request for extension of time for the formulation of the scheme.
2. Participation in the upcoming Nagaland Mini Olympic games. The Participation of the Mokokchung district in the upcoming Nagaland Mini Olympics which is to be held from 26th to 27th of Aug 2022 was discussed by the house and agreed to participate.
3. Har Tiranga programme. On the home department directions regarding the Har Ghar Tiranga programme, the House agreed to follow all the instructions given by the housing department, i.e., hoisting of National Flag in all the Office buildings and Private residences, institutions, business houses, and all the public residences from 13 to 15 August 2022.
4. Matters relating to the Upcoming 76th Independence Day Celebration at Mokokchung.

The house also discussed the matters about the upcoming 76th Independence Day Celebration and work distribution among departments were done.

In the meeting after thorough deliberation, the following recommendations were made:

• Upgradation of Lenjem Hospital was recommended.
• Judo – Association Society Mokokchung was recommended for its registration.
