In a groundbreaking achievement, St Paul School Noklak, a Catholic institution run by the Diocese of Kohima, has etched its name in the annals of the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) HSLC Examination 2025. Niamkoi P, a student of the school, secured an impressive 7th rank with a remarkable score of 97.17 percent.
This feat marks a historic milestone for the school, as it is the first time a school from Noklak has achieved such a high rank in the HSLC examination. Principal, Rev. Fr Lichoi Yimkhiung, congratulated Niamkoi on her outstanding achievement, stating that she has set a trend for her juniors to follow.
“Miss Niamkoi’s achievement is a testament to her hard work and dedication. I believe that her success will inspire her juniors to work hard and strive for excellence,” Rev. Fr Lichoi Yimkhiung said. The principal also extended his gratitude to the teachers for their tireless efforts, which have contributed significantly to the school’s excellent result.

“The teachers’ dedication has paid off, and we are proud of their commitment to providing quality education,” he added. Notably, besides Miss Niamkoi’s 7th rank, the school has produced an outstanding result, with 82 students progressing to the next level, including 17 students scoring 80 percent and above in all subjects.
Rev. Fr Lichoi Yimkhiung also thanked Niamkoi’s parents, Puchong and Hangkai, for their support and encouragement. He added that Niamkoi’s achievement is a proud moment for the school, and it is expected to inspire other students in the district to strive for excellence.
