The State Election Commissioner, Nagaland, T. John Longkumer, IPS (Rtd), has notified that in pursuance of sub rule (3) of Rule 9 of the Nagaland Municipal Election Rules 2023 and in exercise of the powers conferred under section 31 (1) of the Nagaland Municipal Act 2023, the Deputy Commissioners in the State have been designated the “Appellate Authorities” under their respective districts on behalf of the State Election Commission for disposing of appeals during the period of the conduct of Special Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls, 2024 in the Municipal and Town Councils.
