Nagaland Governor La. Ganesan has said that the state has lost a dedicated public leader in the demise of late Y.M. Yollow Konyak who passed away in New Delhi on Wednesday after a prolonged illness.

“I am deeply shocked and saddened to hear the untimely demise of your beloved husband”, the Governor said in his condolence message addressed to Minching Konyak, widow of Yollow.

Ganesan mentioned that Yollow had served the Government in different capacities including Minister of Nagaland, language translator and BDO and had also served the society as a student leader as well as in the apex Konyak tribal body.

“His contributions to the people of Nagaland in various assignments will be remembered for a long time,” the Governor added as he prayed that the Almighty God grant peace and solace and give strength to the family to overcome this irreparable loss.
