State Level Awareness Workshop on Uttar Poorna Transformative Industrialization Scheme (UNNATI-2024) was held at the Directorate of Industries and Commerce, Kohima on 24th October 2024.
Special Guest of the program, Advisor Industries & Commerce, Hekani Jakhalu said that the program was being conducted to ensure that the UNNATI Scheme makes a positive impact in the state. She said that entrepreneurs, business community and other stakeholders are the real wealth creators and job creators and the future of the state rests upon them and therefore urged the private business firms, entrepreneurs and all the stakeholders to come forward in availing the scheme to make changes and bring progress in the society and place Nagaland state in top three amongst the Northeastern states. Hekani also said that the Government and the Department are ready to give the best possible help and support to the business community.
Director, Industries & Commerce, P. Tokugha Sema, in his opening remarks said that dissemination of the policies of the government to the masses and convergence and collaboration with other departments and stakeholders are crucial and important in implementing the UNNATI Scheme. He said that if we don’t know how to receive the money when the government of India is giving opportunity, there is no way or chance to progress ahead in our business and requested the stakeholders to come forward in taking interest and avail the scheme.
UNNATI Scheme was highlighted in detail by Fazlur Kabir Borah, Consultant, Grant Thornton Bharat LLP Consultancy, Guwahati.
Detail Presentation were given by Penethung Lotha, Consultant, PIU and Vimeyiel Richa, Branch Manager, NEDFI respectively during the interactive session with the line departments and stakeholders. The program was chaired by T. Lemon Wangsha, Joint Director (Ind.& Com.) and K. Francis Hekavi, Joint Director (Ind.& Com.) proposed the vote of thanks.
