State Red Run 2025 held at Regional Centre for Sporting Excellence

The Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS), in collaboration with the Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) and Nagaland Athletics, today successfully organized the State Red Run 2025 at the Regional Centre for Sporting Excellence, Sovima, Chümoukedima. This year’s run carried the theme “Run for Awareness, Run Against HIV and STIs.”

The program began with a welcome address, followed by the pledge and flag-off ceremony led by Dr Ahu Sekhose, Project Director, NSACS. The event featured two categories: State Level Red Run 10K (Men & Women) and Open 10K (Men & Women).

The Open 10K races were flagged off by. Abu Metha, Secretary General & Vice President, Athletics Federation of India (AFI). A total of 224 runners registered for the event, showcasing the community’s strong support for the cause.

The prize distribution and closing ceremony took place at the Multidisciplinary Stadium, Sovima, Chümoukedima, where short remarks were delivered by Abu Metha and Dr Ahu Sekhose, Project Director, NSACS before presenting awards to the winners.

State Level 10K (Women):

1st : Tsuchoi T (Dimapur)

2nd : Niansai T (Dimapur)

3rd : Jemie Y (Tuensang)

Open 10K (Men):

1st  : Wede Tmero (Phek)

2nd : Ringhorsem Muinao (Assam)

3rd : Thotngacheirin Hunphun Luiyi (Senapati)

4th : Arjun Chetri (Assam)

5th : Nagalong T Tikhir (Dimapur)

Open 10K (Women):

1st : Makakmayum Minarashi (Assam)

2nd : Peiheiteile Esalung (Peren)

3rd : Rutseinuo (Chümoukedima)

4th : Anjali Kumari (Dimapur)

5th : Ilungkuale Newme (Chümoukedima)

The State Red Run 2025 witnessed enthusiastic participation from across Nagaland and neighbouring states.
