Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS), in collaboration with Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) and Nagaland Athletics Association (NAA), will be organizing the State Red Run 2025 on September 6, 2025, at Regional Centre for Sporting Excellence, Sovima, Chumoukedima. The event is being organized under the aegis of the National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
The Red Run is a nationwide initiative aimed at creating awareness on HIV and STIs, promoting healthy lifestyles, and discouraging high-risk behaviours that increase vulnerability to HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
Youth engagement in physical activities such as marathons promotes healthy lifestyles and positive behavioural choices. These activities help prevent not only lifestyle-related diseases but also discourage risk behaviours that increase vulnerability to HIV and other STIs.
The aims and objectives of the State Red Run 2025 include:
- Enhancing visibility on issues related to HIV/AIDS and drug abuse.
- Promoting safe and responsible sexual behaviour among youth.
- Creating awareness about HIV/STI services and encouraging their utilization.
- Increasing basic knowledge and understanding about HIV/AIDS.
- Reducing stigma and discrimination related to HIV/AIDS.

The State Red Run 2025 will have participation of the winners (1st, 2nd and 3rd ) of male and female categories from all the 17 districts of Nagaland. The organizers expect enthusiastic participation from the open category, for which the entry has been made open.
Participants for the open category can register for the event by scanning the official QR code provided by the organisers in the social media platforms nagalandsacs or nagalandathletics.

Open – 10KM (Men & Women)

5th – ₹5,000
Event Guidelines for open category only
- On September 6, all participants must report at the Regional Centre Sporting Excellence, Sovima, Chümoukedima on or before 7 a.m.for verification and collection of Bibs.
- Category 2: Open 10K Run (Men & Women) – Any individual 16 years and above is eligible to participate.
- Registration Fee (only for Open Category): ₹200, payable at the location on the event day.
- Participants can register for the event by scanning the official QR code provided by the organisers.
