The NSS unit of MGM College, Dimapur, as part of the pre-event celebration of Sardar @150 UNITY MARCH, organised an enlightening lecture talk on the theme “Strength in Unity: Patel’s Message for Today’s Youth” on October 28 at the college auditorium.

The session was graced by Fuchumo Yanthan, Head, Department of History, who served as the resource person for the programme.

In his address, Yanthan highlighted Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s pivotal role in uniting the nation and his enduring legacy as a symbol of strength, determination, and national integrity. Drawing inspiration from Patel’s ideals, he urged the youth to embrace the spirit of unity, discipline, and service to the nation in the face of modern challenges.

The event witnessed active participation from faculty members and students of MGM College, along with teachers and students from MGM Higher Secondary School, whose enthusiastic involvement enriched the programme’s spirit of togetherness.

The programme concluded with a unity pledge, where all participants reaffirmed their commitment to uphold the ideals of national integration and unity that Sardar Patel so passionately championed, mentioned a press release issued by the college.
