Students from Kohima on National Integration Tour meet Uttarakhand Governor

Twenty students from colleges in Kohima, who are participating in the National Integration Tour Dehradun, Kumaon, Ranikhet and Delhi, called on the Governor of Uttarakhand, Lt General Gurmit Singh (Retd) on Wednesday at the Raj Bhavan in Dehradun.

In a post on X, the Governor remarked that it was a “delight to interact with the Youth” and commended the 13th Battalion Assam Rifles for organising the tour. He stated that he “firmly believe that educational journeys serve as catalysts for personal growth, paving the way for lucrative career opportunities and fostering a spirit of nation-building among the youth.”

The National Integration Tour for the students of Kohima College, Kohima Science College, Oriental College and Sazolie College to Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun and Kumaon and Naga Regimental Centre, Ranikhet and Delhi was flagged off from Kohima, Nagaland on 3rd February 2024. The students include nine boys and eleven girls.

The tour is being organised by the 13th Battalion Assam Rifles under “Operation Sadbhavna Project”.
