Successful counting of 18th Lok Sabha Election polls in Pughoboto

The Counting of 18th Lok Sabha Election polls commenced at 8:00 AM at Pughoboto Sub-Division on June 4, informed a DIPR report.

Additional Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, Tiameren Chang opened the strong room housing the EVMs/VVPATs in the presence of Counting Observer, Siddharth Yadav, district officials and political party agents.

EVMs/VVPATs were duly counted and verified by counting officials as per electoral protocols overseen by Assistant Returning Officer R. Daniel Angami and Counting Observer.

The result comes 46 days after 34 Polling Stations (PS) across the district voted to elect the lone MP for Nagaland state in the first phase of polls on April 19, 2024.
