The Sümi Youth Organization, the Zunheboto Tokujo Kükami, the Zunheboto Area Public Organization, and the Zunheboto Town GB Association, in a joint meeting has resolved to ban NSCN ® Wangtin Group from Zunheboto district.

The ban comes following the assault of a native of Natha Old Village, under Zunheboto district.

In a resolution adopted on Friday, August 2, the organisations mentioned that it has taken serious note of the incident involving one person named, Dick of Natha Old Village.

“Mr. Dick was mercilessly beaten and subsequently hospitalized, an act allegedly perpetrated by the underground cadres of NSCN ® Wangtin Group. The Sümi organizations condemn such a heinous act in the strongest terms,” stated the resolution.

The Sümi organizations has strongly urged the law enforcement agencies to take stringent action as per the law to ensure that justice is served.

“From henceforth, to prevent such incidents in the future, the functionaries of NSCN ® Wangtin Group are hereby banned in Zunheboto District,” stated the resolution.
