Sumi Students’ Union Wokha Town hold 3rd Annual Session

Wokha: NSSU President urges students to recognise interest and give their best in developing them

The Sumi Students’ Union Wokha Town held its 3rd Annual Session under the theme “Youth and the Changing World” at Sumi Baptist Church, SABAK, Wokha Town on 28th December 2023 with Samuel P Chophy, President, Northern Sumi Students’ Union (NSSU), as the Guest of Honour.

Chophy motivated the students to be agents of change and blessings to the community and also encouraged them to participate and give full cooperation to the Union for the welfare of students’ community in particular and citizens of Wokha Town in general. Chophy called for unity among the Sumi community living in the town.

Talking about employment, he urged the students to recognise one’s own interest and give their best in developing those interests. The NSSU President also encouraged them to explore other fields such as skill development as it will benefit them greatly in these competitive times.

Earlier, Vitoho Swu, Pastor, SABAK, Wokha, blessed the Session which was then followed by various presentations by the Sunday School students.

The program was chaired by Avinoli Ayemi, Welcome Address was presented by Florence Sumi, a Special Number was presented by Tovibo Shohe and Vote of Thanks was delivered by Nizuto Kinimi.
