SVEEP Clean Election Campaign held in Aghunato

Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) on clean electoral roll and clean election campaign was held today at Aghunato Area GB Hall, Aghunato.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Zunheboto, Rahul Bhanudas Mali, IAS, urged the people of Aghunato to maintain peace during the ensuing state assembly election. He asked the DBs posted in Aghunato not to be biased against any political party and campaign or work for them.

The DC further cautioned against illegal or unlawful activities during election time and said people violating the rule would be strictly dealt with. He added that the political parties should control the youths from violence and disturbances.

Additional Superintendent of Police Zunheboto, Vekhrolo Koza, NPS, requested the people of Aghunato to cooperate with the administration to ensure peaceful and violence-free election. He also stated that he will be available 24/7 in case of emergencies. Every individual should play his/her important role for clean elections, he stated.

Earlier, Vihekhu, GB of Satami village, spoke on behalf of the GBs and Hekato Achumi, VCC of Shevishe village, spoke on behalf of the VCC.

The programme was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner Aghunato, Pakon Phom, NCS and the vote of thanks was delivered by Akato Yeptho, GB Aghunato.

Representatives of political parties, DBs, GBs, BLOs, BLAs, churches and VCCs attended the programme.
