Pfutsero Town Council (PTC) organised Swachhata Hi Seva program starting from 13th September 2024 under the theme “cleanliness of nature, cleanliness of culture” and culminated on 2nd October 2024 with Dr. Neisatuo Mero, MLA as a special guest at Town hall, Pfutsero, Phek.
Speaking at the culmination program of Swachhata Hi Seva 2024, Dr. Neisatuo Mero pressed upon the importance of cleanliness of nature and culture. He gave an equation: Clean Culture, Clean Nature, Healthy Town and Community. He also gave a clarion call to the councilors and leaders to be responsible and trustworthy to the mandate given by the people on them.
He further called upon the Pfutsero town dwellers to cultivate a civic scenic sense to make Pfutsero naturally the best town. Speaking on the importance of cleanliness like drainage, waste management and keeping the town clean, Mero encouraged everyone to work together hand in hand for healthy living. He also spoke on the dedication of the present Government led by the dynamic Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio to address the different problems face by the state.
He also stressed on the importance of language which should not be a barrier but a medium of unity.
The program was chaired by Dy. Chairperson PTC, Khazu Dukru while welcome note was given by Chairperson PTC, Mikha Kenye. Special number was presented by Nuvely Tetseo and Pastor, PTCRC, Solhou Sono invoke God’s blessings, while the conclusion remark was given by ADC Pfutsero, Mhali Humtsoe.
TENING
As part of Swachhata Hi Seva campaign 2024, Tening Town Council (TTC) successfully carried out various activities such as mass cleanliness drive and segregation of waste in all the 9 wards, schools and governmental offices, and culminated the campaign on 2nd October 2024.
The culmination program was held at Old Town hall under the chairmanship of MIS, TTC, Haipiegwang. Chairperson of the Tening Town Council, Lungchui delivered a short speech.
Later, prize distribution program was held where the Cleanest Wards was awarded to Ward 8 and Ward 1. Active Participation Award and Best Performance Award were bagged by Ward 6 and Ward 2 respectively.
