Swachhata Hi Sewa Campaign 2024 organised at FCI Food Storage Depot Phesama

The Swachhata Hi Sewa Campaign 2024 was organised at the Food Corporation of India (FCI) Food Storage Depot (FSD) in Phesama on October 29, 2024, with the objective of promoting cleanliness and environmental sustainability. The event featured activities such as a Cleanliness Drive and a Tree Plantation Drive, conducted within the godown premises and the nearby locality.

The Divisional Manager of the FCI Divisional Office in Dimapur, along with staff members from FSD Phesama, participated in the campaign with enthusiasm. Equipped with cleaning tools, participants undertook a comprehensive cleanup effort, clearing litter and ensuring a hygienic environment around the depot. During the Tree Plantation Drive, saplings were planted to improve the greenery around the facility, symbolising the commitment of FCI to environmental conservation.

The initiative is part of the larger Swachh Bharat Mission, aimed at encouraging citizens to take an active role in maintaining a clean and green India. Speaking at the event, the Divisional Manager emphasised the importance of collective responsibility for cleanliness and conservation, highlighting that the campaign aligns with FCI’s commitment to sustainable practices across its facilities.
