Moakumzuk Tzudir, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pfutsero had directed a temporary ban on import of pigs in view of reported death of pigs due to swine flu in villages adjacent to the subdivision. Therefore, the ADC, in the interest of public health, has imposed a ban on the imports of pigs from surrounding villages and other sub-division.

ADC Pfutsero has also directed all ward Gaon Buras to monitor slaughter/sale of pork in respective ward and ensure only healthy pigs are slaughter for public consumption.
