The Salangtem Youth Union (SYU) organised its 1st Excellence Award Programme on December 18 at the Salangtem Community Hall to honour L Zonisen Longkumer, NBSE Rank 10, HSSLC Examination 2025 for her outstanding academic achievement.
Supongsangla Walling, General Secretary of SYU, chaired the programme and Lanutemsu, President of SYU, delivered the welcome address, highlighting the importance of encouraging excellence and motivating the youths to strive for higher goals. Words of exhortation were delivered by representatives from Salangtem Ward Yimden and Lanuakum, Deputy Chairman, MMC, who encouraged the Youths to uphold discipline, perseverance, and responsibility as future leaders of society.
The award presentation was conducted by Dr Narola, representing the Excellence Award Board of Trustees felicitating for her commendable performance in recent examination.
A word of gratitude was expressed by L Zonisen Longkumer, NBSE Rank 10 holder in the HSSLC Examination 2025, who shared her experience and encouraged the Youths to remain focused and dedicated.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Lanupokyim, Convenor, Excellence Award Board of Trustees. The Excellence Award Programme reflected SYU’s continued commitment to promoting and nurturing excellence in diverse fields among the youths of Salangtem.
