Tuensang town has welcomed its first large-scale shopping mart with the opening of T Mini Mart, a new retail venture aimed at offering convenience, affordability, and employment opportunities to the local community.
Located below the local ground and opposite NEFA Gas Agency, T Mini Mart is the brainchild of K. Achingla Chang, who shared her journey with Nagaland Tribune, calling the launch a “dream come true” after years of planning.

“This is the first time such a big mart has been opened in Tuensang. The vision was to create a welcoming and accessible shopping space while also generating employment for local youth,” Achingla said.
Explaining the significance behind the name, she added, “Both my husband and I have names that begin with the letter ‘T’, so we decided to begin the mall’s name with ‘T’ as a symbol of our shared journey.”
The store offers a wide range of food and household items, with prices starting as low as ₹10, making it a practical choice for daily shopping needs.
As she reflected on the support she received, Achingla said, “I would like to acknowledge my family and friends for their constant support—and give all glory to God for leading me this far.”
T Mini Mart is expected to become a key shopping destination in Tuensang, both for its product range and its community-driven mission.
