On the occasion of World Music Day, the Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA) Wokha District Partner organised the first Musicians’ Convergence at Wokha. Lichumo Murry, District Programme Officer, Department of Land Resource, graced the event as the Special Guest.
In his speech, Murry congratulated TAFMA Wokha District Partner for bringing musicians of Wokha District under one roof to celebrate World Music Day. He also encouraged the participants to make the most of the opportunity.
TAFMA in-charge of Wokha District, Mhademo Enny, highlighted that the Musicians’ Convergence is an independent initiative by TAFMA Wokha District, which aims to connect and take care of the musicians within the district. He expressed his delight to see encouraging number of participants and audience at the event and informed that the convergence will be held as an annual event from henceforth.

Five bands – Vintage Chord, The Keys, AMNS, New Dawn, Galaxies – and seven solo artists – Nchumbemo Patton, Lirhoni Z Lotha, Libemo Jami, Nchumbemo Yanthan, Stephen P Tungoe, Thung TJ Yan, Yanbothung Ezung – performed at the event.
