The Naga Hoho delegation led by its president H K Zhimomi held a meeting with the NSCN-IM Talk Team led by V S Atem and the GoI representative A K Mishra in New Delhi on Saturday.
Naga Hoho General secretary Elu Ndang, speaking to Nagaland Tribune after their return from the national capital, stated that the meeting with the two parties was fruitful.
Both parties are serious to resolve the long pending Naga political issue, he said.
The general secretary exuded hope and confidence that with the resumption of talks: “solution will be arriving as expected.”
Ndang said the process is on and both parties are very confident that concrete steps will be taken by the GoI and NSCN-IM this time round.
He expressed his hopes that the level of trust and confidence which has improved would not be betrayed by both the parties but be strengthened instead, and that the two parties would bring about an honourable settlement.
When asked on the contentious issue of a separate flag and constitution, Ndang said the GoI and the NSCN-IM are yet to discuss it. He hoped the negotiators would work out an amicable solution acceptable to both NSCN-IM and the GoI.
The Naga Hoho said it respects the sentiments of the people and therefore, the trust and confidence should not be betrayed by both the NSCN-IM and GoI.

The Hoho stated that anything can happen before the 2023 elections provided the people support and strengthen the process. With that view, it called upon all the Nagas to come together and work cohesively to support and strengthen the process.
The NSCN-IM Talk Team led by V S Atem arrived in New Delhi on 19 September and resumed talks with the GoI on 21 September. Four rounds of talks have been held so far including one today.
