TATA AIG with Swasti & tEA donates Blood Bank Equipment to District Hospital Mon

In a major boost to the healthcare infrastructure of Mon district, The Entrepreneurs Associates (tEA) in collaboration with funders TATA AIG and partner Swasti, a leading public health organization in India, donated Blood Bank equipment to the District Hospital Mon on August  6. The event, which was held at the hospital’s conference hall, witnessed participation from medical professionals, district officials, and citizenry.

Addressing the gathering, Ajith Kumar, SDO representative from the district administration, emphasised the vital role of equipment and infrastructure in improving healthcare delivery.

Gourav Gogoi, representative from TATA AIG spoke about the need for a fully functional blood bank in Mon and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to public welfare through sustained healthcare investments.

Joseph Julian KG, Senior Director at Swasti, expressed appreciation to TATA AIG, the hospital team, and attendees. He acknowledged the strong partnership with the Entrepreneurs Associates (tEA) since 2023 and expressed appreciation of Neichute Doulo, CEO of tEA, for facilitating the works on the ground.

Julian also highlighted Swasti’s ongoing initiative of Social Protection Services and Mobile Medical Unit in Kiphire, Peren & Zunheboto districts.

The Social Protection Services and the Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) Project in Kiphire, Peren and Zunheboto aims to bring healthcare services to remote areas. This project is funded by TATA AIG and Swasti as the collaborative partner and implemented by The Entrepreneurs Associates (tEA) as the local partner.

The donated blood bank equipment is expected to significantly enhance the hospital’s capacity to store and provide safe blood, particularly during emergencies, improving the district’s overall healthcare response and preparedness.

The event was chaired by Dr Ponwang Konyak, Medical Officer of District Hospital Mon, and began with an opening prayer by David Konyak, Chaplain of the hospital. A warm welcome note was presented by Dr Aman Konyak MS i/c DH Mon. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Yanang Konyak, Senior Medical Officer of District Hospital Mon.
