A series of tuberculosis (TB) awareness and screening programs were conducted in Mokokchung district on June 29 and 30. The initiatives were carried out by the Department of Health and Family

Welfare in collaboration with the Department of Youth Resources and Sports, Mokokchung, and local

institutions.

The TB awareness initiative in Mokokchung included three key programs targeting different sections of the community. At Yajang C Baptist Church, an awareness session was held to educate residents on tuberculosis transmission, symptoms, and the importance of early detection and completing the full course of treatment. At the 13 IR Battalion Headquarters in Yajang C, an active case finding campaign was carried out among battalion personnel to identify potential TB cases and raise awareness within the force. Meanwhile, a sensitization and screening program was organized at the 25 NCC Battalion, focusing on informing young cadets about TB prevention, timely diagnosis, and available treatment options.
