The Entrepreneurs Associates (tEA) embarked on their flagship program “Trees for Wealth (TfW)” with a significant tree plantation drive in Kacchepomai Khel at Laii Village, Senapati District of Manipur. This drive marked its second phase on February 15, following the commencement of the first phase on January 15, informed a press release issued by the tEA.
The overarching goal of the TfW program is to plant 2 billion non-fruit trees and 1 billion fruit trees, contributing to environmental sustainability and community development.
The tree plantation drive at Laii Village effectively planted 500,000 native oak trees, by the completion of its second phase. The Laii community, in collaboration with tEA, achieved their target on a 100-acre wasteland provided by the village members, which was initially proposed as 83 acres. This initiative not only regenerated wasteland but also promoted sustainable wealth and environment through the planting of Oaknuts.

During the first phase held on January 15, approximately 400 individuals representing 171 households of the Kacchepomai Khel actively participated in the plantation drive. Each of the households received 5 kg of Oaknuts from tEA, with provisions made for absentees by allocating an additional 20kg for future distribution.
In the second phase, the Research and Development (R&D) wing of tEA visited the area on February 15 to expand the territorial reach and attain 100 acres of land from Kacchepomai Khel. Alongside continuing the plantation, the R&D team utilized GPS coordinates to capture the essence of the project through Polygon mapping, ensuring clarity and producing authentic data.
From the commencement of the first phase until the completion of the second phase, tEA and Kacchepomai Khel successfully planted over 500,000 native oak trees in the region, contributing significantly to the TfW initiative.
Under the Trees for Wealth program, tEA aims to plant a total of 3 billion trees, comprising 2 billion non-fruit trees and 1 billion fruit trees. As of now, tEA have planted 1.2 million trees, including 700,000 fruit trees and 500,000 non-fruit trees across Nagaland and Manipur. This initiative not only focuses on environmental conservation but also aims to foster green credits, creating employment opportunities and generating income while addressing and mitigating climate change.
