The Tening Town Council inaugurated the Swachhata Pakwada campaign on Tuesday at Traffic Island, Tening Town. The event was presided over by Pelunwi Tening, and it featured a keynote address delivered by the EAC of Tening, DIPR informed.
Kaibakam, the Brand Ambassador of Swachhata Pakwada in Tening, delivered a powerful speech during the launch of the campaign. Kaibakam urged the citizens of Tening Town to actively participate in this significant campaign, which is part of the nationwide cleanliness drive initiated by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.
A total of 278 participants, including students from three high schools and one government higher secondary school, joined the campaign. The event began with an invocation by Rev. Kamwang Rentta, the Pastor of Town Baptist Church in Tening, seeking God’s blessings for the campaign.
Following the launch and the pledge-taking ceremony on Swachhata, a cleanliness drive was conducted throughout the town area. The Swachhata Pakwada campaign aims to promote cleanliness and hygiene and encourages community participation in keeping the town clean and beautiful.
