Tenyimi Union Nagaland (TUN) has strongly condemned the drone attack carried out by Indian security forces on October 20 against the Naga village of Khenmoi-Loiyi (Khammoi) in Myanmar-occupied Nagaland (East Konyak region). The strike, reportedly launched from Arunachal Pradesh in India-occupied Nagaland, resulted in the tragic deaths of Khampei Wangsa (27), Joint Secretary of Khammoi Students’ Union, and Eli Phiphot Wangsa (7), a student of Khammoi Mission School while several others, including children, elderly, and women, sustained serious injuries, and homes and community property were destroyed.
The Union expressed deepest condolences to the bereaved families, wished the injured a speedy recovery, and extended solidarity to all affected Naga civilians in Khenmoi-Loiyi and surrounding areas.
Stating that this act is a gross violation of human rights and international humanitarian law, reflecting the ongoing illegal occupation of Naga territories by India and Myanmar, the Union said it underscores the urgent need for global attention to the continued aggression against the Naga people living in their own ancestral land.

The Union appealed to competent global organisations — including the United Nations, UN Human Rights Council, and the International Criminal Court — to condemn this attack, undertake an independent investigation, and demand accountability from the occupying Indian forces.
It also called upon all Nagas, within occupied territories and the diaspora, to stand united in condemnation, humanitarian support, and solidarity with the victims and the wider community affected by this atrocity.
