A Thanksgiving program for the Elected Representative of Majakong Ward No-9 was held at Majakong Community Hall, Mokokchung, today.
Bendangkumba Aier, elected councilor of Majakong Ward No-9, addressing the gathering, stated that success was achieved through the collective efforts of all Majakong Ward members who supported him with wisdom, votes, financial and physical support. He expressed that this achievement is a blessing from God.
Aier shared that he was initially unsure of which ticket to contest from, but after thorough consideration, he believed that contesting from the ruling party would best support Majakong Ward’s development.
The newly elected thanked Advisor Imkongmar, Minority Affairs & Sericulture, Government of Nagaland; Advisor TN Mannen, Law & Justice, Land Revenue, Government of Nagaland; and the NDPP central, district, AC, and unit for their support and belief in him.
He acknowledged the practical support of his core committee, consisting of nine senior citizens, and appreciated their wisdom and knowledge. He also acknowledged the Sumi community of his ward for their unified support.
Aier extended his appreciation to his co-contender O. Bendanginla of the Congress party and her supporters for maintaining a peaceful election process. He emphasized his commitment to working on both his and her vision for the ward’s upliftment.
K. Bencha Ao, Election Agent for Ward No.9, thanked all supporters and acknowledged the contributions of the NDPP central, Mongoya, and Mokokchung units, as well as the core committee and Sumi community. He praised the guidance of Advisor Imkongmar and expressed hope for the ward’s future under Aier’s leadership.
Y.O. Bendang Ozukum, President of NDPP Majakong Unit, congratulated Aier and his family, urging unity and peaceful coexistence for the ward’s development.
Short speeches were also delivered by Majakong Ward Yimden, NDPP Region, President of 25th Mongoya AC, ULB Core Committee, Majakong Unit, Sumi Community, Well-wishers, and Süngratsü Senso Senden Mokokchung.
Imola, President of NDPP Majakong Women Organisation, chaired the program, and Rev. Wati, Pastor UCF MTBA, pronounced a prayer for the elected councilor and his family.
