The thanksgiving program of NDPP candidate Kelhousenuo Khruomo at Multipurpose, Rüzhükhrie GHSS on June 22.
Delivering a brief speech, Dr. Kekhrielhoulie Yhome, Advisor for School Education and SCERT, announced the decision of the party to run independently in the upcoming ULB election. Noting that the ward is one of the largest in Kohima with over 4000 votes, the Advisor emphasized the need for substantial work in the area. Dr. Yhome reassured collaboration with Khroumo and the public, stressing the importance of public consultation. He also affirmed his dedication to transform Kohima into a welcoming, peaceful, and cooperative city, fostering unity among its residents.
In her speech, Kelhousenuo Khruomo, emphasized that being elected unopposed reflects the trust and faith placed in her by the people. She expressed a deep sense of responsibility and commitment to prioritizing outlined agendas to achieve common goals. Khruomo highlighted a collaborative approach, focusing on teamwork and youth involvement to promote unity and collective advancement. Transparency and accountability will form the foundation of her tenure, ensuring integrity and openness in every decision and action.

She committed herself to serving with dedication, integrity, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. “Together, we will strive to create a vibrant, inclusive, and prosperous community where every voice is heard, and every aspiration is realized,” said Khruomo. Atoulie Mepfhüo, Panchayat Chairman High School Ward 1 assured to work together and request the candidate to honestly work for the ward and her people.
The program was earlier blessed with invocation by Rev.Dr.Kevichalie Metha Pastor, Peraciezie Baptist Church ,Kohima and Benediction by Pastor Khriezoshietuo Kire CRC Kohima. Earlier, the welcome address was pronounced by Keduozonyü Whuorie, Vice President 10th Northern Angami-1 AC NDPP. Special song was presented by Keneisenuo Sorhie and Coloured Keys .
