Three Naga NCC cadets has been selected to represent the Directorate General of NCC Football Team in the Subroto Cup International Football (Under-14) Tournament.
Cadet Anguka Yeptho, Pilgrim School, Dimapur; Cadet L Eyilo Fabian and Cadet Tongtiser Longkumer from the Delhi Public School, Dimapur, are junior wing cadets of the Dimapur-based 1 Nagaland Air Squadron NCC under the NCC Group HQ, Kohima
The Subroto Cup International Football Tournament is a prestigious inter-school football tournament that is held annually in New Delhi.

According to the PRO Defence, the cadets underwent rigorous selection procedure after trials held at Riyang Military Camp, Arunachal Pradesh.
“This selection has been possible due the utmost dedication and hard work by the cadets, duly supported and encouraged by their parents and teachers,” informed the PRO Defence Kohima.
Mention may be made that Pilgrim Higher Secondary School from Dimapur, Nagaland are the reigning champions of Subroto Cup U-17.
The 62nd Subroto Cup 2023 inter-school football tournament started on 19 September and will run till October 23. This edition will be held in three venues New Delhi, Gurugram and Bengaluru. There are three categories in the tournament, U-14 Sub-Junior Boys, U-17 Junior Girls and U-17 Junior Boys.
