The fifth edition of the “Throttle Thrust”, organized by the Spearhead Motorsport Initiative, roared to life today at Ungma Village, Mokokchung. This thrilling racing extravaganza is held in memory of the esteemed Late. Imtimayang Jamir, with 32 participants hailing from Dimapur, Kohima, Wokha, and Mokokchung districts. Notably, Throttle Thrust makes a comeback to Ungma Village after a three-year hiatus.

The event is divided into three fiercely competitive categories: Below 1300 cc, SUV, and open category. With a generous prize pool of up to 3.5 lakhs, participants are set to battle it out for top honours. The racing action kicked off with the super-sprint and hill climb format, ensuring heart-pounding excitement for motorsport enthusiasts.

The title sponsor for the Spearhead Motorsports organised “Throttle Thrust” is Stag Global while for Platinum sponsor is Nagaland Mineral and Mines.

The racing spectacle is far from over, as stage II is set to take place on November 4, with more adrenaline-pumping moments. The prize distribution ceremony will be held at Ungma Tourist Centre, Ungma, with the esteemed presence of C. Manpon Konyak as the special invitee.
