Stating that it was time for the youths to change their mindset from a ‘welfare state to a developing state’ in line with the Government’s vision of moving ‘Towards a State of Excellence’, Y Vikheho Swu, former MLA challenged the youths not to rest on past laurels but instead work to bring laurels for oneself, one’s village and for Nagas as a whole.

Swu was speaking as the Guest Speaker on Day 1 of the Sumi Aphuyemi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu-SAKK (Sumi Aphuyemi Students Union) 48th General Conference at Puneboqa Village under Pughoboto Sub-Division in Zunheboto District on January 9.

As India is poised for economic growth with the power of the youths, he called upon the gathering to compete and be at par with the rest of the country’s youths, informed a press release issued by the media cell, NDPP Pughoboto. He urged the gathering to do away with laziness and also put in one’s own hardwork in whatever field one is good at.
