A Tiranga Yatra Rally was held today in Wokha District, beginning at Wokha Town Hall and concluding at Police Point. The rally was organised to condemn terrorism following the 2025 Pahalgam attack, which resulted in the deaths of 26 civilians. The event aimed to express solidarity with the Indian Armed Forces and to honour those who have sacrificed their lives in service to the nation.

In his address Deputy Chief Minister of Nagaland and BLP Leader, Yanthungo Patton who led the rally, thanked the participants for attending the event and showing moral support for the Indian Army. He stated that the rally was not held under the banner of any political party but was meant solely to express solidarity with the armed forces. He also said similar rallies were being conducted across the country by Indian citizens and reiterated that the event was unrelated to any political issue.

During his speech, Patton stated that there is no place for terrorism in the country or the world. He also expressed gratitude to the Military Defence of India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, referring to him as a visionary leader for his decisions aimed at countering terrorism and for the success of Operation Sindoor.
