The Tizit Civil Societies (CSOs) have strongly condemned the killing of one Late. Haiwang Konyak, Central Council Member (CM) who served as the Razou Peyu, Aro Range, NSCN (K-YA) of Tizit Village whose body was recovered on 13th June 2024 at Hongsai Colony, Tizit Village.
“The Tizit CSOs condemned such act of devilish in a peaceful environment disturbing the peace of Tizit and its residents through this heinous act,” Konyak Union, Tizit Unit and Tizit Area Students’ Union (TASU) stated in a joint statement.
The CSOs said that such inhuman and diabolical act “when the entire ENPO area have collectively been striving for peace and respectful relationship” is highly condemnable and will not be tolerated.
KU, Tizit Unit and TASU have also sought for clarification at the earliest on the reason behind the killing from the persons/groups/faction who committed the crime”. Failing to clarify, an investigation shall be initiated by the CSOs at its level and the particular group/faction found responsible will be inviting the public’s non-cooperation,” they stated.
Meanwhile the Tizit CSOs conveyed their deepest condolences to the bereaved family and offered prayers for the deceased’s soul.
