The Joint Co-ordination Committee (JCC) on the IAS induction issue comprising of the CANSSEA, FONSESA, NIDA, NSSA and NF&ASA has announced that the ‘Tools Down Strike’ will begin from November 6. The intensification of the strike will continue alongside its ongoing pen down strike.
In a circular issued on November 5, the JCC media cell mentioned that it has not received any positive response from the Government despite the peaceful agitation reaching more than 40 days.
“This form of agitation shall continue till further instructions are issued and may be escalated further, if necessary. The Tools Down Strike which had been kept on hold earlier is set in motion effective from the 6th November 2025 with the active participation of the All Nagaland Government Drivers’ Association, Nagaland Civil Secretariat Drivers’ Association, All Nagaland Directorate & District Government Drivers’ Union and the Nagaland Civil Secretariat Grade-IV Staff Employees Association,” informed the Committee.

The Committeee resolved that its democratic agitation will continue until its demands are met which includes:
- Restoring the March 10, 2025 Vacancy Circular
- The withdrawal of the Non-NPSC/Backdoor candidate from the Panel List.
All essential services and employees/officers associated with it will be exempted from the purview of the tools down strike.
JCC members in all the Directorates/Service Associations has been requested to ensure that essential services are not disrupted and inconvenience is not caused to the general public and that the peaceful and democratic agitation is strictly limited to the place of work.
Any member violating these guidelines/instructions shall be solely responsible for any untoward incidents, cautioned the Committee.
