Former Chief Minister and incumbent legislator, TR Zeliang reiterated that the NDPP-BJP alliance’s topmost priority is to resolve the Indo Naga Political issue and was hopeful that solution will arrive soon, and peace will prevail in the state as both the naga national political groups have reaffirm their covenant.

He said this while speaking on the sideline to a section of reporters of his campaign kick-off at Jalukie.

Speaking on the issue of unemployment in the state Zeliang asserted that the present government have tried their best, but it has not come to expected level and affirmed that if NDPP-BJP alliance forms the government once again it will streamline the system.

“…so next government if we come out majority and if we are able to form the government we will stream line the system how to accommodate our youth, how to train them and how to get placement for them also with the help of the central government. So we hope that employment problem can be eased out if we stream line the system,” added Zeliang.

Zeliang also maintained that if the youths are depending only on white collar jobs the unemployment issue in the state cannot be resolved. Stating this he also said that once the naga problem is resolve corporates are willing to come to the state as the land is feasible for any kind of project. He however pointed out that because of the insurgent problem in Nagaland no one is willing to come.

He exuded hope that once the Indo Naga political issue is resolved the youths of Nagaland can move forward with the system that the Government is going to place after solution.

Meanwhile, he was also confident that he will win with a thumping majority.
