In light of the upcoming “Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra,” the Office of the Superintendent of Police in Mokokchung, Nagaland, has issued a comprehensive Traffic Advisory to ensure the smooth flow of the event on 17 January 2024 (Wednesday). The advisor outlines specific regulations for vehicular movement during a two-hour period, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
The key regulations outlined in the advisory are as follows:
No Parking Zone: Commencing from Rotary House, Sangtemla Ward, the designated “No Parking Zone” extends via Police Point until B.O.C Sungkomen Ward.
No Entry Points: Vehicles will not be permitted to enter Main Police Point, Mokokchung, from B.O.C Sungkomen Ward, Rotary Point, D.C Office Junction, IMDH Road, and Mokokchung Shopping Complex during the specified time. “One Side Parking” has been established from Sewak Gate to Old RTO Office.
Parking Zones: Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Town Hall Area, and Mokokchung Village Ground have been earmarked as designated “Parking Zones” for the convenience of participants and attendees.
Exemptions for Emergency Services: Ambulances, fire tenders, and other emergency services are exempted from the aforementioned traffic restrictions, ensuring a swift response to unforeseen situations.
All concerned parties are earnestly requested to cooperate with the implemented traffic arrangement, the Addl. Superintendent of Police & PRO in Mokokchung, Nagaland, directed, emphasizing the importance of adherence to these regulations for the successful and safe execution of the “Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra.”
