The training of Sector Magistrates, Sector Commanders and flagging off EVM demonstration Van was held on February 2 at Deputy Commissioner Conference Hall, Wokha.
Briefing the Sector Magistrates and Commanders, Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, Wokha Ajit Kumar Ranjan flagged off the EVM mobile demonstration van, informed the DIPR, where he stated that the reason behind this is to raise awareness and confidence as to how the EVM machine works to be covered in all the polling stations across the district. The DC also requested to give/submit reports of the demonstration done.
Briefing about their roles and responsibilities, Deputy Commissioner appealed all magistrates and commanders to check and ensure that minimum facilities like toilets, water supply, electricity and rams are available in all the polling stations and urged them to work in co-ordination with the respective BLO’s. The need to prepare a proper route map to enable them to reach the polling stations from their dispatch centre and create awareness about C-vigilance in all the polling stations, was highlighted. Further, the DC appealed all concerned officers to start the vulnerability mapping and ensure all activities as per laid down protocol are to be completed as per the schedule.

The DC also highlighted the facilities of voters registration and other queries and grievances to be generated through Wokha Saathi Chat box, where one can contact this number for any query 700557723 and briefed about the availability of helpline number 1950. He urged the gathering to give their best and do their assignment with outmost sincerity for the success of the forthcoming Lok Sabha election.
Later before the flagging off the EVM demonstration Van, hands-on EVM demonstration was given to the sector magistrates and sector commanders.
