One-day training on the Goods and Services Tax (GST) for Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs), Dealers, and Stakeholders was held on August 19, at CKS Hall in Tuensang. The event was organized by the Commissioner of State Taxes, Government of Nagaland.
Yanrenthung, ACST Kohima, delivered the keynote address and led the first session, where he discussed the importance of GST registration and contributing effectively to the state’s revenue system, as well as the importance of having a Tax Clearance Certificate.
Biju Sharma of the IT Cell gave a detailed demonstration on how to register and file returns.

The second session was presented by Mongko Chang, CSTO Tuensang, for dealers and stakeholders. This was followed by an interactive session where participants from various government departments, dealers, and trade bodies could ask questions and seek clarification on implementation challenges.
In the first session, the training featured a short program arranged by the Assistant Commissioner of State Taxes, Tuensang office, for the DDOs, where the program was chaired by T. Likhumse, BAO and a welcome address by Thsitilong Sangtam, CSTO Tuensang.
The training concluded with a vote of thanks from Imsejungla, CSTO Tuensang.
