The Inaugural programme for conducting Training on the Online System of Right of Way (ROW) Portal for Telecom Infrastructure and Online Inner Pine permit (ILP) System was held at Conference Hall of Directorate of Information Technology & Communication, Kohima with Home Commissioner, Nagaland, Vyasan R. IAS as the special guest on 20th February 2025.
Speaking at the programme, Vyasan called on all the trainees to play the additional role to fill the gap in order to serve the people since there is no office of Information Technology & Communication at the district level. He urged everyone to make good contact with the service providers in the region so that proper network is available. He said Right of Way provides a single platform for telecom companies for all necessary permission and approval and added that without clear and streamlining ROW policies connectivity projects face often delay leading to poor internet services.
Commissioner & Secretary, Information and Technology & Communication, Mohammed Ali Shihab, IAS said there are 397 villages in Nagaland which are not cover with mobile towers and inform that the Government is trying its best to provide with 4G network. He urged all the participants to pay attention and understand the problem of different network issue so that when you leave for your respective district some improvement are made in addressing the problems of your area. Shihab called on to emphasis on the importance of my Bharat net a robust technology to empower the future of internet.
Officials from the seventeen districts Administration are attending the two day training which is hosted by the Directorate of Information & Technology and Communication in Kohima. The training schedule includes Training on Online Inner Line Permit System, Training on Right of Way and Hands on training on RoW for telecom.
