Dimapur: Press Conference Highlights MMA’s Rise in Nagaland and Tribe FC’s Vision “ To make Nagaland the fighting capital of India”

The launch of the highly anticipated Tribe Fighting Championship (Tribe FC) a groundbreaking initiative aimed at making Nagaland the heart of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) was announced on October 9 during a press conference held at The Combat Academy, near Green Doors Resort. The official launch of Tribe FC is set for November 2, 2024, at the Indoor Badminton Stadium, DC Court, Dimapur.

Kakivi Chishi, Chairperson of the Press conference, who also represents Kaki Marketing and Ahibi.in as the marketing and ticketing partners, expressed his excitement for the event. He mentioned that they have assembled a lineup of both local and international fighters who will step into the cage to showcase their talent, grit, and determination. He added that the event would be a celebration of strength, resilience, and unity. “It’s an honor to bring the spirit of competition back to its roots here in Nagaland,” he said.

Joining Chishi at the press conference were the co-founders of Tribe FC, Khriemelie Metha and Mikato Sema, whose dedication to promoting combat sports in Nagaland has been a driving force behind this initiative.

Aboto Ayemi vs. Nikunj Sharma – 56.7kg Flyweight

A clash of skilled flyweights, where Ayemi will face off against Sharma.

Arsenba Ozukum vs. Ebiangmi Langstang – 56.7kg Flyweight

Two talented flyweights will battle it out to claim their spot in the growing MMA scene in Nagaland.

Michael Rovei vs. Jonibor Tron – 61.2kg Bantamweight

In the bantamweight division, Rovei and Tron will compete in what promises to be an action-packed bout.

Ahibi.in, which was also officially launched today, promises to revolutionize the way fans book tickets for local events. The platform offers a user-friendly interface, fans can book tickets quickly, affordably, and securely.

Their mission is to support local events, like Tribe FC, by connecting fans to the experiences they love. It is committed to ensuring a smooth and enjoyable ticketing process for all attendees. Tickets will be exclusively available on Ahibi.in, starting from todaywww.ahibi.in. Fans can choose from various ticket categories, ranging from general gallery seating at Rs. 699 to exclusive cage-side seats priced at Rs. 6000.

For the Tribe Fighting Championship event, here are the different ticket categories available for the audience:

  1. General Gallery – A great view of all the action from elevated seating. Rs 699
  2. Premium Gallery – Elevated seating with an enhanced view of the fights, offering a more exclusive experience. Rs 1500
  3. Floor Seats – Closer to the octagon, giving you an immersive experience with the fighters. Rs 2000
  4. Cage Side – The ultimate MMA viewing experience, placing you right next to the octagon, giving you the most intense view of the fight night. Rs. 6000. It was also notified that the tickets will be available at the venue as well.

Co-founder Khriemelie Metha while addressing the questions concerning any government assistance, Metha discussed the government’s efforts in supporting our athletes during the GAMMA: World Championships 2021 appreciating that the government’s involvement was vital in helping their fighters represent Nagaland and India on an international stage, and believe that this narrative aligns better with our mission to foster unity and progress in the sport.

Metha and Sema expressed excitement for future events and highlighted that Tribe FC will continue to develop talent, foster community, and showcase MMA’s potential in the region.
