A truck loaded with sand and cement from Longthu village met with an accident on October 15 at around 12:30 PM between Longkhim town and Chimonger village. The truck, which was carrying church fencing materials for Chimonger village, rolled down approximately 900 to 1,000 feet.

According to sources, the driver and the lone passenger were brothers. While the driver was rescued, his brother remain untraced. The driver sustained severe injuries, received first aid at CHC Longkhim, and was subsequently transferred to Mokokchung Hospital.

Villagers, police, and Longkhim administration conducted a search operation for about four hours but the person had not been found at the time of filling this report.
