ATMA Chunlikha Block conducted a two-day demonstration programme on 27 and 28 January in three villages of Tseminyu district.

On 27 January, a demonstration programme was conducted in Ziphenyu village, an update from DIPR informed.

Resource person ATM Chenobu Seb demonstrated the methods of installation of Trichogramma cards in the field. He also interacted with the farmers and apprised them about the importance of parasitized egg and how it can be of great help for controlling the pest in the field. Trichogramma cards were distributed to all the participants.

ATMA Chunlikha block also conducted two demonstration programmes on 28 January in K Station and Tesophenyu villages respectively.

ATM Sinlo Khing highlighted the advantages of the preparation of nursery beds for raising vegetable seedlings and explained to them the possibilities of growing cole and root crops from the month of January to March in the Tseminyu district.

High-yielding variety seeds were distributed among the participants.

Resource person Kebegi Kent conducted a hands-on demonstration on the methods of application of Trichoderma as seed and foliar treatment. The farmers were made aware of the advantages of using bio-control agents and how they can be a better option for chemical pesticides.
