Tseminyu DPDB deliberates on piggery

The monthly DPDB meeting of the Tseminyu was held on October 18 at DC’s conference hall Tseminyu with Ar Jwenga Seb, MLA & Chairman DPDB chairing the meeting. Jwenga welcomed all the board members and extended his appreciation to all the officers for their presences in the meeting. Reviewing the last meeting minutes, the board deliberated on rehabilitation for landslide affected families at veterinary colony, Tseminyu.

After deliberation the board decided to give Rs.50,000 each to the four effected families under the State Disaster Management. On the advice of the administration, the Rengma HOHO also requested the MLA to assist the affected areas. The MLA assured to extend full cooperation and support to the affected areas.

Members also thoroughly discussed and deliberated on the PowerPoint presentation made by the Deputy Commissioner, Japheth Woch to make Tseminyu District as Piggery District. After suggestions from the members and line departments, the board decided to constitute a committee to frame action plans and to give trainings to the farmers for successful implementation of the program. Accordingly, the board constituted a committee headed by the Deputy Commissioner as Chairman and allied departments as members. The department of District Industries & Commerce (DIC), Tseminyu will present their activities in the next meeting.
